828 Productions was founded by Todd Lundbohm as a boutique film finance and lending company in 2019. 828 Productions has played a pivotal role in financing 15 films with a total budget spend of over 50 million dollars.

Founder/CEO

Todd Lundbohm

Todd Lundbohm is an entrepreneur, filmmaker, and the CEO of 828 Productions, which he founded to help artists tell their stories, across genres, big or small. He has an M.F.A. in Film and TV Production and a M.A. in Digital Media Studies, and served as an adjunct professor at Boise State University. Lundbohm has financed 15 films through his finance company, 828 Media Capital, since 2019, with a total production spend of over $50 million, and his films have been featured in four of the major genre film festivals in the past two years. His Producorial debut, The Fallout, starring Jenna Ortega, Maddie Ziegler, Shailene Woodley, and Julie Bowen, won the Grand Jury Award at SXSW in 2021. He’s also a Producer on the upcoming studio action film, Assassin Club, starring Henry Golding, Noomi Rapace, and Sam Neill. Lundbohm and 828 Productions relocated to New Mexico after shooting there in 2021. He acquired a 7,500 square foot office building and 35 acres in downtown Las Cruces, with plans to develop six stages, studio facilities, and a backlot. He hopes to nurture and develop New Mexico’s homegrown talent while bringing high-paying jobs to the high desert he’s now proud to call home.
Production Executive

David Michaels

Michaels earned his first stripes as a personal assistant to Samuel Goldwyn, Jr. supervising the productions of various iconic cult films such as "Sid and Nancy". After experiencing first-hand the rewards associated with quality filmmaking, he sought more personal creative freedom and set out to create his own identity. While positioned as the Senior Vice President for Lancit Media Entertainment, he effectively packaged projects with Robin Williams, Cameron Diaz, Jeff Bridges, Whoopi Goldberg, Danny DeVito, Cathy Schulman, Rick Yorn, Michael Menchel, Pamela Abdy, David Lynch, Howard Rosenman, Stacey Sher, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. These projects include "The Giver" (Walden Media, Weinstein Company), "The Watsons Go to Birmingham" (CBS, Sony, Hallmark, Walden Media), "Taxi Dog" (Warner Brothers, Radar Pictures), "The Marx Brothers" (Universal Pictures, Jersey Films), "Fenwick's Suit" (Fox 2000, John August), "Dry Fire" (HBO, Penny Marshall), "Sleepless Beauty" (Warner Brothers, Larry Wilson), "The Guardian Angels" (MGM, John Avildsen), Surveillance (Magnolia Pictures, Mark Cuban, Warner Brothers), "Shelter Island"(Showtime Networks), and "Murder at the Cannes Film Festival" (Merv Griffin, E! Entertainment). "Surveillance" premiered to critical acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival in 2008. Most recently, inspired by "American Psycho", Michaels has written "Tommy Taffy" and it will also mark his feature film directorial debut. The film is being produced by Spencer Young and Robert Dean. The project is angling to begin filming in the summer of 2023.
Business Office Manager

Candice Nanco

Candice Nanco is the Business Office Manager for 828 Productions with a strong background in Marketing and Communications. Candice is a New Mexico native that obtained her BBA with a concentration in Marketing from Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. Soon thereafter, she was promoted from Marketing Assistant to Director of Marketing for Compass Group at UNM. She then migrated south to the beautiful city of Las Cruces, NM, where she served as the Director of Marketing for New Mexico State Universities Integrated Services. Candice oversaw all marketing efforts for NMSU's Auxiliary Services to include dining, housing, conference services, special events and concierge services. She has since ventured out of the realm of Marketing to take on new challenges with a driven group of individuals working toward the goal of enhancing the film industry in Southern New Mexico.

Stephanie Denton

Stephanie Denton is a feature film and television executive with a career that spans over 25 years of heading up the Acquisitions, Sales, and Distribution divisions for several of the industry’s leading independent film and television companies, including Lionsgate International, Lakeshore Entertainment, Initial Entertainment Group, and Bold Films. During her tenure in the film industry, Denton has sold over 250 feature films, and worked with such legendary filmmakers as Martin Scorsese, Lasse Halstrom, Sam Rami, Mark Pellington, Jon Amiel, Garry Marshall, Peter Howitt, James Mangold, Stephen Merchant, and James Wan to produce and sell some of the most high-profile films coming out of the independent film sector. Noteworthy releases include THE AVIATOR, UNFINISHED LIFE, THE GIFT, ARLINGTON ROAD, LAWS OF ATTRACTION, UNDERWORLD, 310 TO YUMA, WAR, HOTEL RWANDA, DAYBREAKERS, RUNAWAY BRIDE, FIGHTING WITH MY FAMILY, and the record-breaking SAW franchise. Denton’s voluminous experience also includes spearheading the launch of Arc Animation Studios Toronto as it transitioned from under the STARZ Entertainment umbrella, and heading up acquisitions and co-production for the WWE Studios in Los Angeles, driving the company’s marketing and production initiative to release brand adjacent content across its platforms. A few of Denton’s premier accomplishments in her early career include the development and production of Len Wiseman’s hugely successful UNDERWORLD franchise for Lakeshore Entertainment, sourcing and selling high profile projects including WAR starring Jason Statham and Jet Li and DAYBREAKERS starring Ethan Hawke for Lionsgate Entertainment, and the closing of multi picture Domestic Distribution deals with Sony/Screen Gems, Universal Pictures, and Paramount Studios. In 2019, Denton launched her own Production company, New Cadence Entertainment, utilizing her experience across all aspects of production and distribution to source and develop original Film and Television. Denton began consulting with 828 Media, in 2020, to assist across the company’s expansion of its film lending portfolio
Manager of Operations and Public Affairs

Jon Sepp

Jonathon Sepp developed a passion for the film industry during his middle school years. In 2009 he received the Film Technician Training Program certificate from Doña Ana. In this role, he processed 100+ film permits and attracted numerous productions to the Las Cruces area. Notable projects include The Mule (directed by and starring Clint Eastwood), Chupa (directed by Jonas Cuaron and starring Demián Bichir), All The World is Sleeping (starring Melissa Barrera and Jorge Garcia), Death in Texas (starring Ronnie Gene Blevins and Bruce Dern), Wanted Man (starring Dolph Lundgren and Kelsey Grammer), and The Locksmith (starring Ryan Phillippe, Kate Bosworth, and Ving Rhames). Sepp was at the forefront of successfully advocating for the +5% Uplift Zone being added, and then updated to 10%, to the New Mexico Film Production Tax Credit Act. Through is work at 828 Productions, he remains a steadfast champion for the burgeoning film and digital media industry in his hometown.

Gerard Munoz

Gerard Muñoz, an Assistant Production Executive at 828 Productions, is a skilled creative professional and a graduate of New Mexico State University's Creative Media Institute. During his formative years, Gerard drew inspiration from the world of media and filmmaking. His journey led him to refine his skills through dedicated study in screenwriting and acting, under the tutelage of Tony Award-winning playwright, Mark Medoff. Since 2006, Gerard has actively contributed to and shaped the landscape of the New Mexico film industry through his dedicated work and creative endeavors. Cindy Turner

Cindy has led an impressive career as a Film Production Accountant in her eleven years working in the film industry. Serving as Head of Film Accounting at 828 Productions, she is an integral part of the 828 finance team, working directly with production business units, providing counsel to aid in shaping decisions that have a valued business impact. She also works closely with freelance accountants during the course of production to provide compliance support. Before joining the 828 team, Cindy was a founding member of Turner Media Holdings, recruiting a top-notch accounting team that consistently delivered thorough accounting files, satisfied all union and non-union payroll needs, and filed state film tax credits coast-to-coast. An entrepreneur since college, she has a wide range of experience from teacher, resort owner, mortgage banker, and costumer. Outside the office she enjoys boating and beachcombing with her husband.

Raj Nirmalakhandan

Rajeev Nirmalakhandan, a writer, director, professor, and creative executive, is driven by a profound passion for storytelling. With a remarkable sixteen-year tenure in academia, he has left an indelible mark on countless students. Rajeev's collaborative spirit extends across various university departments and the Arrowhead Center, where he has played a key role in crafting compelling visual narratives. His directorial pursuits span the realms of both commercials and films, earning him accolades as an award-winning filmmaker. Rajeev's impactful work has reached national audiences, including features in nonprofit organizations like Autism Speaks. Not merely confined to artistic expression, he has successfully secured financing and articulated the logistical needs of productions.
